About The Girls' Network
Our Story
In 2013, Becca and Charly - then secondary school teachers in North West London - saw first-hand the barriers holding back girls in their classrooms.
Determined to make a difference, they started a one-to-one mentoring programme for 30 girls, grounded in research showing that personal relationships and meaningful conversations could challenge stereotypes and broaden horizons.
They believed that girls needed not just opportunities, but also the confidence, skills, and support to seize them.
What began as a small programme quickly grew in demand. Today, The Girls’ Network operates across London, Merseyside, Portsmouth, Southampton, Sussex, Tees Valley, Tyne & Wear, and the West Midlands - supporting around 1,000 girls each year through mentoring and workshop programmes that open doors to new possibilities.
